Audi is set to bring four plug-in hybrid models to the lineup!

As any savvy business person knows, diversifying is important. Car brands, like Audi, feel the same way, which is why in the coming months you'll find more alternative options at our Tulsa Ok luxury dealership!

Back at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year, Audi announced that four of their upcoming vehicles would be plug-in hybrid models, and we know they will be big hits with Owasso OK and Sand Springs OK drivers who are focused on alternative energy.

The Upcoming PHEV Audi Models

The following Audi models will get treated to a plug-in hybrid variant:

  • The Audi A6 midsize sedan
  • The Audi A7 sportback
  • The Audi A8 full-size, executive sedan
  • The Audi Q5 small SUV

Along with a gasoline engine, all these models will have a supporting 13.1 kWh battery. According to Europe's EPA-estimates, these models can go up to 25 miles on just electric power. However, it's worth noting that the US estimates tend to be more stringent. While Audi hasn't officially released them, we wouldn't be surprise if the EPA-estimates for fully-electric travel were around 20 miles. Charging should take about 2 hours on a standard plug.

For Bixby OX drivers who have very short commutes, it's quite possible to do a lot electric-only driving. For those who go further, you don't have to worry about finding a charging station as the percentages start to go down, as these aren't 100% EV. Once you've used all the electric power available, the system will automatically kick over to the gasoline-powered engine, ensuring you make it back to your Broken Arrow OK home.

Audi is staying mum on a lot of details when it comes to torque and horsepower, but we have been assured that drivers can choose from a standard 'Comfort' version or a more exhilarating 'Performance' version that is aimed at shoppers who already own or appreciate the S Series models.
